Have your say

Have you ever wondered what the animals get up to once the gates are shut to the public at Marwell?

Well now you have the chance to find out as, to celebrate the family attraction’s 40th birthday, it is offering the public the exclusive opportunity to visit the park after hours.

Visitors can see the animals at sunset, meet the keepers who care for them and enjoy special talks and presentations.

You’re invited to party with the penguins in their revamped home and marvel at the new 40th anniversary sculpture trail.

Becky Glenister, events manager at Marwell, says: ‘To keep the party swinging, we have incredible performances and entertainment, from costumed stilt walkers to chainsaw juggling, African drumming to comedy street theatre.

‘This will be Marwell’s first Party in the Park and we have a packed programme of events.’

Marwell’s Party in the Park takes place next Friday (June 1) from 6.30pm until approximately 9.30pm.

Tickets cost £16 for adults, £12 for children (aged three to 16) and those under three are admitted free.

Tickets are available in advance only at Or call 01962 777407.
