WE give you three ideas for things to do, come rain or shine.

ACTIVITIES: This weekend is your final chance to head down to the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and take part in the special family activities for the festive period. From 10.30am until 4.30pm, you can head down to the lower deck on board the HMS Warrior 1860 and discover a world of adventure. There’s a school room for the Warrior’s young officers, and the Warrior’s gun room is full of surprises. Young sailors can create Victorian gifts and become part of their very own story with costumed role play. Other activities include games, knot tying, and colouring and quiz sheets. The family activities, which finish this Sunday, are free with a valid ticket. For more information go to their website, historicdockyard.co.uk.

ARTISTIC: Aspex has been running a number of creative workshops for children throughout the Christmas holidays, and this weekend is no different as it puts on an Aiming High Workshop (SEN & Autism) tomorrow. From 11am until 12.30pm children with autism are invited to join in creative activities, with children with SEN from 1.30pm until 3pm. Call (023) 9277 8080 to book.

PANTO: Catch the final performances of a classic fairy tale this weekend as Ferneham Hall finishes its run of Cinderella. The children can boo the baddies and laugh at the goodies in the traditional Christmas pantomime. Neighbours actress Anne Charleston stars as the fairy godmother. Call (01329) 231942 for more informatiton and tickets.
