STAGECOACH

The junction between Winston Churchill Avenue and Isambard Brunel Road in Portsmouth is to be made smaller to make way for new homes as part of the Somers Town regeneration project.

All journeys on route 23 and Hoverbus towards Southsea will turn left at the roundabout before making a U-turn at the Bradford junction roundabout.

FIRST

Wych Lane in Gosport will be closed to all traffic until November or December in connection with changes to the road layout. Service 85 and 86 will be diverted from Nobes Avenue Shops to Gregson Avenue, Cunningham Drive and Fareham Road in both directions. This will affect the running time of this service.

Service 88 will also divert from Carisbrooke Road, Brading Avenue, Brewers Lane, Nobes Avenue, Gregson Avenue, Cunningham Drive and Fareham Road in both directions. A shuttle service, numbered G1, will operate every 15 minutes between about 7am and 7pm Monday to Saturdays to link with the diverted services. The shuttle bus will operate in an anti-clockwise loop, running from Nobes Avenue Shops to Gregson Avenue, Wych Lane, Tukes Avenue, Carisbrooke Road, Brading Avenue, Brewers Lane and Nobes Avenue, back to connect with the diverted 85, 86 and 88 services at Nobes Avenue shops.

Tickets will be available for issue on the G1 to all points on the 82-88 services. Additionally service 85 and 86 will also operate a smaller loop in the evenings and on Sundays.

In Clarence Esplanade, Southsea, re-surfacing Works will take place until April 3.

The road will be closed between the Hovercraft Terminal and Avenue De Caen.

As a result, Services 5 and 16A will follow a short diversion during this work.

Work will continue on the Winston Churchill Avenue roundabout in Portsmouth.

There will be a short diversion to services using Winston Churchill Avenue until further notice. Services 17 and 18 will not stop here.

IOW FERRIES

Due to the annual routine surveys of Wight Ryder I and Wight Ryder II a revised timetable will be in operation until April 1.

On Monday, the barriers on the Portsmouth-Fishbourne-Portsmouth route will be closing for both vehicles and passengers three minutes prior to sailing, to ensure prompt departure of the vessels to improve punctuality and arrival times, in advance of new forthcoming regulations.

At 1am on Sunday, GMT ends and BST starts. All company clocks will go forward one hour to 2am for British Summer Time (BST).

RAIL

SOUTHWEST TRAINS

All lines in the Surbiton area will be closed Sunday until late afternoon. Some lines between London Waterloo and Wimbledon will also be closed during Sunday which could affect services to and from Portsmouth Harbour.

On Monday and Tuesday, the lines will be closed from late evening between Haslemere and Havant.

The normal train service will run until the 9.30pm service from London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour and the 9.18pm from Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo.After that services from London Waterloo will be replaced by buses between Haslemere and Havant or Portsmouth. Services towards London Waterloo will be replaced by buses between Havant and Haslemere or Guildford.A shuttle train service will run between Havant and Portsmouth Harbour. FIRST GREAT WESTERN

On Saturday and Sunday the line between Salisbury to Romsey will be closed with buses replacing trains.

Services between Great Malvern, Cardiff Central, Portsmouth Harbour and Brighton will be subject to alteration with some services not running.
