RAILWAYS

SOUTHWEST TRAINS

The lines between Eastleigh and Fareham will be closed all day Saturday and Sunday.

Trains between London Waterloo and Portsmouth via Eastleigh will be diverted via Southampton Central.

Replacement bus services will run between Eastleigh and Fareham.

SOUTHERN RAILWAY

Track improvements and maintenance are taking place from 12.50 on Saturday until 4am on Monday between Eastleigh and Fareham.

Whilst work is taking place, buses will replace trains between Fareham and Eastleigh. Services between Brighton and Southampton will be diverted and not call at Eastleigh and Southampton Airport Parkway.

Quay Street in Fareham will be closed to all traffic heading to Quay St Roundabout from 8am until 4pm daily.

During this time, the 38A and 138 will divert via East Street to Delme Arms roundabout then Eastern Way to Fareham bus station. Services 1A, 5, 5A, 57 and 63 will divert via Eastern Way to Fareham bus station.

Buses will not be able to call at the bus stop in East Street.

Due to the closure of Wych Lane in Bridgemary, Gosport as part of the BRT works, First will be revising services 81, 82, 83, 85, 86 and 88. A shuttle service, numbered G1, will operate every 15 minutes between 7am and 7pm on Monday to Saturdays to link with the diverted services. The shuttle bus will operate in a loop, running from Nobes Avenue shops to Gregson Avenue, Wych Lane, Tukes Avenue, Carisbrooke Road, Brading Avenue, Brewers Lane and Nobes Avenue, connecting with the diverted 85, 86 and 88 services at Nobes Avenue.

Due to works on Burrfields Bridge, Burrfields Road in Portsmouth will be closed. Service 19 to the city centre will follow the normal route up Stubbington Avenue to the lights. Then Copnor Road, Copnor Bridge, Tangier Road, Folkestone Road, Eastbourne Road, Chesterfield Road, Cobden Avenue and then the normal route from there. Service 19 to North End will follow the normal route into Idsworth Road, then Cobden Avenue, Eastbourne Road, Dover Road, Copnor Bridge, Copnor Road, Stubbington Avenue.
