Reel Big Fish
Never ones to fail on giving their all, Reel Big Fish were back in Portsmouth to play to an energetic audience in the Pyramids Centre on Tuesday night.
Support came from the Manchester-based Sonic Boom Six whose unique fusion of rap, reggae, and punk triumphantly got the crowed moving.
Next up were Big D and the Kids Table who gave an extremely fun and well coordinated live performance involving story telling and catchy hooks.
Headliners Reel Big Fish were next to take the stage and managed to make the crowd explode with energy from the get-go.
Not a face could be seen not singing along or mimicking the brass section in the first song and crowd favourite Sell Out.
The band gave as much energy as the audience, especially through the four or five songs they played in a row with no breaks in between.
Self-confessed 'masters of all musical styles' managed to amaze the audience with a medley of different versions of their song S.R.; plus throwing in a surprise Metallica cover for the fun of it.
The enthusiasm they show towards making sure they put on a memorable show is spectacular, and only adds to the many reasons why Reel Big Fish are still regarded as one of the greats to come out of the third-wave ska movement.
