He’s on a quest to find his footwear and he’s prepared to go into outer space to do so.

Children’s entertainer Sid Sloane is bringing his Sid’s Show II to the Kings Theatre on Southsea on Sunday.

Sid has been a star on BBC children’s channel CBeebies’ since it started in 2002 and this will be his first performance in Portsmouth .

‘We are going on a quest to discover where my missing shoes and socks have gone,’ Sid told The News.

‘We go to bottom of the sea, deep into the jungle and floating in outer space. It’s a very imaginative show and it’s very interactive as well.’

Sid says he enjoys the spontaneous nature of performing on stage, which is different from making a TV show.

‘You’re using a different kind of energy and a different kind of skill,’ he says. ‘You can shout anything you want at any time in my show and I can pick it up and go with it.’

The performance includes games, songs, poems and magic.

The show is suitable for children aged three and over and starts at 1pm. Tickets: £12, children and concessions £9, visit kingsportsmouth.co.uk or call (023) 9282 8282 to book.
