ST SWITHUN’S Catholic School in Southsea held a fancy dress day in aid of Children in Need on Friday.

Children and teachers alike dressed for the occasion and donated what they could to the cause.

Nearly £300 was raised by Friday morning, and the total is expected to rise.

The small school also fundraises for Barnado’s and the Salvation Army as part of their other charity projects. - Kai Chase-Meares
