Jazz Morley at The Cellars, Eastney
Singer-songwriter Jazz Morley is no stranger to the Cellars at Eastney, having performed at the venue multiple times before.
But, if it wasn’t for the incredibly late purchase of the venue by MLC Property Management, we probably wouldn’t have seen her in these parts again.
Lucky for us, the venue continues to run as normal therefore Jazz and her sultry, soulful voice can continue to drop by.
Boy/girl duo The Hourglass opened tonight’s proceedings and main support Tom Bertram channelled his inner Damien Rice with a stripped-down acoustic guitar set.
However, it was Jazz we were here to see and thankfully she managed to avoid the onset of laryngitis – which caused her to cancel an earlier gig in Cheltenham – to play at tonight’s event.
That didn’t stop the poor soul from blowing her nose after every song!
You wouldn’t have known she was ill from the way she belted her heartfelt ballads spanning from unrequited love to broken relationships.
‘If I ever have a happy relationship then that would be the end of my career,’ jokes Jazz.
On that basis, here’s to a lifetime of loneliness for her!
