Bride Debbie Green only had eyes for future husband Clive when she walked down the aisle on the best day of her life.
But it was Elvis Presley’s job to get her to the altar – and it was the copycat King who was at her side to give her away.
Debbie and Clive had booked a holiday to Las Vegas and decided to tie the knot when they were out there.
The couple, from Fareham, have been together for six year and visited one of the city’s famous wedding chapels to exchange their vows.
Debbie, 46, and Clive, 45, travelled with their friends, Marc and Michelle Reid, and the couple also acted as witnesses at the wedding.
‘I thought it would be fun because we have both been married before,’ says Debbie, who’s a manager in a bank.
‘We’re not massive Elvis fans or anything, we just thought it would be fun.
‘Afterwards we went for a beautiful meal and watched the Treasure Island show.’
While on holiday, the friends visited all of the hotels on Las Vegas’ famous strip.
Although Debbie fell and sprained her ankle on the first day of the holiday, she still managed to walk down the aisle on her big day.
When the couple got back from their holiday they held a reception for all their friends and family at Southsea Golf Club.
Debbie’s 17-year-old daughter Lauren was there as well as Clive’s daughters Amey, 23, Eve, 21, and his son Aaron, who’s 25.
Debbie says: ‘It was all just absolutely fantastic. I’m so glad we did it.’
