Around 50 pupils took part in the 45-minute workshops before they were given information about joining the week-long academy.

Kelly Brown, PE teacher at St John’s who co-ordinated the visit, said: ‘Performing arts and dance is popular at the school and all pupils take part in drama events, so they will certainly be able to put their new skills to use.

‘It was great to see the pupils learn from experienced performers and they benefited so much from the workshop.’

Same Difference fan Amy Hall, 11, said: ‘I followed Same Difference on X Factor and I voted for them twice, so it was amazing to meet them.’

Viriane Missen, 11, added: ‘I enjoyed dancing the most.’
