There’s no two ways about it – a property for sale on Hayling Island Sea Front is out of this world when it comes to the views on offer.

During the day, a viewing room accessed via a spiral staircase from the entrance hall gives great views towards the Solent through a stylish eyebrow window. But at night the star attraction is literally just that – an observatory in the garden that lets you see as far into space as your telescope allows!

If stargazing is your driver then getting down to view the property called Two Ways should be your next earth mission.

Anne-Marie Green, of Fine and Country estate agents at Emsworth is sure you won’t be disappointed.

The property has not been on the market for more than 30 years. The current owners have the accommodation arranged in two wings with the bedrooms mainly to the far side from the entrance hall and the living space wrapped around it, although the position of the kitchen does bend the rules slightly.

‘When seen from the driveway, the house looks smaller than it turns out to be – it literally grows on you once you step inside and realise you were viewing it sideways on’, explains Anne-Marie.

‘At each end there is a bay window, one serving the drawing room and the other the master bedroom, which has a conveniently situated adjacent bathroom.

‘The second bedroom, set towards the centre of the property, has an en-suite shower room and there is a third bedroom with adjacent shower room that also serves the fourth bedroom at the rear of the viewing area on the first floor at the top of the spiral stairs.

‘The hallway opens via three glazed doors into a sun lounge which, like the drawing room and separate study, looks out across the beautiful gardens.

‘Outside the kitchen is a courtyard area linking across to the utility on the back of the adjacent garage.

‘There will never be a shortage of guests wanting to drop by, so it’s as well that there’s off-road parking for several cars.

‘The primary garden is to the front of the house although the layout makes it feel like it’s at the side.

‘It has great privacy despite the Sea Front location. The reason for the viewing room in a higher part of the house is to get a view over the boundary.

‘With its mix of shrubs and greenery, the garden is a delight.

‘The observatory is tucked away where it’s least likely to be subject to light sources and reached via the side garden or through the kitchen courtyard.’
