A different look for busy Debbie

With three small children to look after it's no wonder Debbie Powell has very little time to herself.
The 22-year-old loves being a mum to Cohen, three, Kenneth, two, and nine-month-old daughter Taylor but admits they run her ragged. Debbie says: 'Their needs come first so it's very rare for me to go out and I don't go and get my hair done.'
Her friend Jamie nominated her for a makeover because she thought she deserved a break from the children and could do with a treat.
Debbie, from Waterlooville, was desperate to revamp her look and transform her faded blonde locks into a swish new style. We were happy to help.
Hair
Debbie met up with Kate Litchfield, a stylist at The Cutting Company in London Road, Waterlooville.
To begin with Kate set about changing Debbie's colour and applied an all-over brown to get rid of all the faded blonde. To liven the style up a bit she also added faint streaks of copper and blonde.
Debbie was keen to keep the length of her hair so Kate chopped off all the dead ends and razor cut the rest of the hair to add plenty of texture. A heavy side fringe was also added.
After blow-drying the hair, Kate used Redken products to style, including Rough Paste wax to define the layers and Maxed Out hairspray to hold the style in place.
Make-up
Beauty therapist Cherri Wilson dropped into the salon to talk Debbie through a brand new
make-up look.
She began by using Thalgo moisturising cream, to cleanse and hydrate the skin, before applying an oatmeal-coloured foundation to match Debbie's pale complexion. Translucent powder was used to set the base and a terracotta blusher was used with a highlighter over the cheekbones to create definition.
A white eyeshadow was used over the eyelids as a base colour and white sparkle was applied on the inner corners of the eye. Black eyeliner and black shimmer were used to complete the dramatic look, as well as a coat of long-lash mascara. Fuchsia lipliner and lipgloss completed Debbie's new look.
Clothes
Debbie went to New Look in Waterlooville where she picked out this outfit to wear. She wore black skinny jeans, £20, a halter neck top, £18, black patent shoes, £18, and completed the look with a black clutch, £5.
Verdict
Debbie says: 'I really like my hair and make-up. My hair is completely different to how I usually have it but I'm really pleased with it.'
