Real Madrid are expected to make a £70million offer to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo, much to the delight of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea defenders.
Coach Bernd Schuster promised Real would break the bank to get their man, backed the winger to win the European Player of the Year crown and also accused Robinho of making a massive mistake by joining Manchester City.

Asked if he thought it possible to sign Ronaldo next summer, Schuster said: 'Yes, I think so. I believe next year it will be a bit more difficult for his club to keep hold of him.

'There is hope that next year he will be with us.'

Schuster believes the money on offer will be in the region of £70m.
