YOUNGSTERS enjoyed a fete over the weekend despite bad weather.
Crowds gathered for Newtown Church Fete, held in the gardens of Meonwood, Woodend.
There were stalls selling plenty of produce and lots of entertainment.
Jemma Raeburn, 26, of Gosport, is a teacher at Newtown Church of England School, in Gosport.
She said: ‘I loved it – it was very good despite the rain.
‘It went really well. Everybody came in their wellies and made the most of it.’
There was something for everyone with plants, cakes, tea, books and clothes for sale.
There was also a brass band and dance display.
And an auction was held of promises, raising plenty of cash.
Jemma added: ‘I bought a cake and watched some of the dog agility.’
Classic cars also delighted people who came for the annual fete.
