GREEN is the word at the Portsmouth Summer Fair and Picnic this weekend.
Over 1,500 people are expected to attend the free event at Victoria Park, which will take place between 11am and 4pm on Saturday. Activities include pedal-powered live music, children’s games, circus skills and craft workshops, and there will be stall holders from across Hampshire.
In its third year, the event, run by Portsmouth Climate Action Network, was set up to make people think about climate change and carbon emissions.
Alan Burgess, founding member of PCAN, said: ‘This has been made possible thanks to years of campaigning for climate change and the need to promote it in the community.’
