TWO lanes have now been reopened following a crash on the M27 between Portsmouth and Fareham.

But delays of up to two hours are expected for drivers travelling on the westbound carriageway of the motorway.

A police spokeswoman confirmed a car ended up on its roof in the middle lane following the crash.

She said: ‘We were called at 6.22am to a single vehicle collision between junctions 12 and 11 on the westbound carriageway.

‘The car, which was a Seat, ended up on its roof.

‘The driver suffered minor injuries and has been taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham.’

Drivers are being warned to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
