A MAN who runs a choir in Locks Heath was due to start a 75-hour sponsored silence with a difference today.

Jack White will be trapped in a hotel room without access to any entertainment with a designated annoying song – Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give Up – on repeat.

He said: ‘For somebody with anxiety, OCD and claustrophobia, this is a huge challenge for me and something that I’m really going to struggle with.’

Jack, who runs the Sing Now Choir which practises in Locks Heath, is raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

He said: ‘It’s a charity that’s very close to my heart as my nephew was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago.’
