A charity which provides volunteer doctors to help out in emergencies holds its annual show at Southsea this weekend.
Basics, which is staffed by 19 doctors and one consultant nurse, has organised the event at Castle Field to show off exactly how it is used when called in by the emergency services.

Mock-up accidents will be featured in an arena on both Sunday and Monday.

There will also be displays by marching bands, majorettes and the Solent dog display team. The Hampshire air ambulance will fly past during the day on Monday.

The show runs from 10.30am until 5pm on both days.

>> Basics recently ran a charity shop in the Pallant, Havant for two weeks and raised £2,577 for the volunteer doctors who attend serious incidents in their own time and use their own cars.
