Cash point thieves net thousands

Thieves have made off with tens of thousands of pounds from a cashpoint.
Two men broke into the Co-op in Centre Way, Locks Heath, near Fareham, in the early hours of Monday morning.
They forced their way in through fire doors, between 4am and 5am, and once inside entered the cash office where the hole-in-the-wall machine is situated.
The two men took four cash boxes from the ATM, believed to hold tens of thousands of pounds, but detectives are refusing to say exactly how much was stolen.
At the time of the incident both men were dressed in dark clothing, they wore their hoods up on their jackets, had scarves around their faces and were wearing gloves.
The shop was not open at the time and no-one else was inside.
Police have now launched an appeal for help from the public following the burglary – and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area the morning before.
Anyone with information should contact Fareham CID on 0845 0454545 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
