Residents of a Portsmouth street had an exceedingly good day when they were treated to free cakes from Mr Kipling.
Members of the firm's Happiness Hit Squad visited people living in Kipling Road, North End, Portsmouth, to deliver the goodies.

Research from a poll found that Portsmouth residents were among the unhappiest in the UK.

The handouts were prompted by the finding that the vast majority of people have their spirits lifted more by a small, unexpected gift than an expensive car or a holiday.

A spokesperson from Mr Kipling said: 'After finding out that Portsmouth's residents are amongst the unhappiest people in Britain, our Happiness Hit Squad aims to raise a smile amongst the inhabitants of Kipling Road.'
