CHILDREN in East Hamp- shire are being encouraged to get out their crayons and create the perfect Christmas card.
The winning entry in each of five age groups – as chosen by a judging panel chaired by Lucy Cousins, a children's author and illustrator – will earn a special prize. Their designs will be printed on A6 cards and put on sale in schools and at the Petersfield Christmas Festival.

There will also be a presentation ceremony for the winners in The Square during the festival.

Entries will be welcomed in the following age categories: under-fives, five to eight years old, 9-12 years old, 13-15 years old and 16-18 years old.

Completed cards should include the name, age and school of the entrant. They should be sent to: Christmas Card Competition, East Hampshire District Council, Penns Place, Petersfield, GU31 4EX, no later than Friday, November 14.
