A YOUNG woman has been charged following a crash that saw a car burst into flames.
Sarah Hunkin, 18, of Camp Road, Gosport, has been charged with failing to stop at the scene and driving without due care and attention.

She is due to appear before magistrates on October 16.

The accident happened on the corner of the A32 Fareham Road and Cunningham Drive in Gosport at 11pm on Friday.

The Peugeot 106 struck a tree then bounced back into the road and collided with an oncoming RAC van.

Two other people were arrested after the accident.

A 17-year-old youth from Gosport was later released without charge while a 21-year-old woman from Gosport was arrested on suspicion of being unfit through drink. She has been released on bail until November 18.
