Healthcare staff are getting in the saddle to cut their carbon footprint.
Staff at Portsmouth Primary Care Trust are ditching their cars in favour of bikes as part of the city council's Green Commuter Challenge.
The PCT has recently splashed out on a number of new, secure bicycle storage facilities, including at headquarters' site, St James's Hospital in Milton.
Public health development manager Kathryn Kavanagh said: 'Greener transport is healthier transport.
'Not only are we reducing pollution by taking cars off the road which will ease conditions like asthma, car sharing is sociable and good for wellbeing and walking or cycling are excellent ways to get some regular exercise into your daily routine.'
The PCT is running a prize draw incentive for staff who give their car a day off during the week, with a tasty top meal up for grabs.
