HAMPSHIRE Primary Care Trust is holding a birthday event at Fareham Shopping Centre on Monday to celebrate 60 years of the NHS.
Staff will be on hand between 9am and 5pm with displays about how the NHS has changed through the decades.

There will also be plenty of information about the future of the NHS in Hampshire, and staff from Quit4Life, sexual health, medicines management, and PALS – Patient Advice and Liaison Service – teams will be there to chat to passers-by and to answer questions.

Richard Samuel, director of performance and standards for Hampshire PCT, said: 'To celebrate the NHS' birthday we are holding events across Hampshire to show residents how the NHS has changed and improved over the years, and how we will continue this in the future.

'Information about a wide range of health matters will be available, and staff will be on hand to talk to shoppers throughout the day.

'It will also be a great opportunity to talk about local health matters with residents.'
