Spinnaker Tower operators are offering 40 free places to witness a magical summer ceremony with a view of the whole city.
A pagan druid ceremony will be held at the top of the tower to mark summer solstice.

Leading Stonehenge Druid Frank Somers along with about seven others will be dressed in traditional ceremonial outfits to mark the occasion.

The ceremony starts with a procession and a calling of the spirits followed by an explanation of the celebration.

There will be chanting, singing and drumming as well as horn blowing.

Places for the event on June 20 are available on a first come first served basis. Phone (023) 9273 0068.

It has also come to our attention that there are more than one Druid orders in Portsmouth yes!

Disgraceful, disrespectful and warring behaviors from them all have been noted.

Indeed, it is not only Druids and Pagans who have reason to celebrate and hold ritual at such honoured spaces in time. There are others who are PUSHED OUT because of such warring behaviors between each other. Again Pagans and Druids falling into the category of Holy Wars!

We heard about the Spinnaker when we read it on the Internet and yes, we also find it totally disrespectful of these orders who are supposed to work with the local community 365 days a year.

And as for as these warring fractions of Spirituality go. Give it up! you only as powerful and effective as the rest of any other organized Religion

Days of real Druids and Pagans have gone by.
