PEOPLE will have the chance to see the inside workings of a busy fire station in Portsmouth next week.
Cosham fire station will be opening its doors for a jam-packed day of fun and fire safety on Saturday, August 30.

The open day will run from 10am to 4pm and will allow residents to get an insight into the various activities firefighters undertake.

There will be entertainment for children as well as fire and rescue demonstrations.

All money raised will go to charity.

Deborah Beaton, speaking for the service, said: 'Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service's open days are ideal occasions to learn about fire safety matters and free services that local firefighters can provide.

'This includes such things as home fire safety visits.

'Your local crew looks forward to seeing you there.'

David Knight,

Copnor 22/08/2008 23:50:04
I flicked onto this story because I thought it might be the Copnor Fire Station - Then I remembered the Lib/Lab/Con had it closed down.

Thanks
