The official Olympic handover flag will be raised in Fareham on Sunday to celebrate the moment London becomes the official host city for the 2012 Games.
The celebrations are due to start at 1.30pm when local band Spinnaker Brass will play in West Street, Fareham, to entertain shoppers and gathering spectators.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Fareham, Councillor Ernest Crouch and Mrs Enid Crouch, accompanied by guests and local sports representatives, will then arrive to get the proceedings under way and watch local gymnastics club, Kartwheels performing an acrobatic display, before the official hoisting of the flag at 2.30pm.

Various sports representatives from within the borough will be attending, including members of Hill Head Sailing Club, Fareham Wheelers cycling club and Fareham Nomads swimming club.
