THOUSANDS of people turned out in the sunshine to enjoy a special garden show at the weekend.
More than 16,000 visitors made their way to The Garden Show at Stansted Park, Rowlands Castle.

There were 330 stands encouraging people to make use of their green fingers and get into the garden.

Lizzie Dymock, event organiser, said: 'It was really successful. We had our biggest weekend ever. The fact that it was the nicest weekend for a long time meant people crowded in.

'We are quite a different show to all the shows around.

'It's for the public to find things that they can't find anywhere else.

'It gives young gardeners who are just starting out the chance to show off their talents.'

There were varieties of flowers and plants and also free talks about organic gardening.

As well as morris dancing, there were clowns, a bouncy castle and face painting for the children.
