SHOPPERS are being asked to take a look at the future of health services in Portsmouth.
Staff from the city's teaching primary care trust will be in the Cascades Shopping Centre in Commercial Road on Tuesday to share future plans.

These include a 36-bed unit for elderly people with mental health problems at St James' Hospital and a midwife-led maternity unit and community health campus at St Mary's Hospital.

Passers-by can also find out about plans for a new GP-led health centre and improvements being made to existing GP surgeries.

Claire Pond, trust public involvement and communication manager, said: 'We've listened to what members of the public have said they want.

'Now more people will be able to find out what plans and ideas there are for developing facilities so far and tell us what they think about them.'

What you haven't said Claire is that you are going to give us what we want; because, if you are, it will be a first for the public sector!
