These two men are believed to have smashed into a house through a front door and threatened the terrified woman inside as they searched for someone they were hunting for.
The two men, along with another man not caught on camera, are thought to have broken into the house in Grove Road North, Southsea, at 6am on March 23 while the resident was inside.

The shocked victim heard her front door being broken down by the three men and suddenly came face-to-face with them as they threatened her.

The trio then left having looked through the property for their quarry and failing to find the person they were looking for.

Detective Constable Amanda Pope, investigating at Portsmouth CID said: 'We would like to trace these men as they may be able to help us with our inquiries.

'They did not hurt the woman in the house but she was not the one they were looking for.

'We have moved the person they were looking for – for their protection – while we work to arrest the men responsible.

'This was an isolated incident and people should not worry or fear that it will happen to them.'

The men pictured in the CCTV were captured on camera in the Co-op in Great Southsea Street shortly after the incident occurred and police are appealing for them – or anyone who recognises them – to get in touch.

A 24-year-old man from Southsea was arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed until June 17.

Calls to Crimestoppers are made anonymously and rewards of up to £1,000 are available to anyone giving information leading to a conviction.

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Amanda Pope on 0845 045 45 45 or use the anonymous Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
