AN ONLINE soap opera set in Portsmouth is calling on actors to audition for a part.
Chalkhill is an interactive show on the web that allows viewers to get involved by suggesting storylines or training to be star of the show.
Following critical acclaim for pilot episodes, the soap has secured broadcast partnerships with some websites and advertising deals to become a fully funded production to rival its TV counterparts.
Executive producer Steven Surridge is the brains behind the Portsmouth-based project and wants to scour the city's talent for future stars.
He said: 'We're looking for anyone between eight and 80 with vibrant personalities who can act well on camera.
'We can generally tell within 20 seconds if you are good enough for a part but if not, we're not going to be horrible to people like on The X Factor.'
Auditions are at Babylon nightclub in Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth 8am to 6pm on October 18, October 19, November 15 and November 16. To register call 09050 040833, and for more go to www.chalkhillsoapopera.com
