A new food superstore could create 40 new jobs in Portsmouth if it gets the go-ahead from councillors.
Lidl wants to build a store on the site of the former Haskers store in Norway Road, Hilsea.

Already more than 100 letters of support have been sent to Portsmouth City Council.

People living nearby say a new supermarket in the north of the city will mean less car travel to other stores and will revitalise a derelict site.
