Fans of James Bond will be among the first in the country to see the new 007 film at two charity screenings.
Quantum of Solace, starring Daniel Craig as the legendary spy, will be shown at screenings in Portsmouth and Fareham on Thursday, October 30 – the day before the film goes on general release.
The screening on Portsmouth, at 8pm at the Vue Cinema, Gunwharf Quays, is in aid of Seafarers UK, a charity which helps those who work at sea and their families.
Film fans will be charged £15 a ticket to attend the gala screening, with all profits going to the charity.
They will get the full star treatment, including a drinks reception before the film and the chance to have their picture taken while walking down the red carpet.
Conal Presho, head of fund-raising at Seafarers UK, said 'We're delighted that Sony has allowed us to host this regional charity gala screening of the new James Bond film.
'Bond is undoubtedly one of the most popular characters of our time and he and his creator Ian Fleming's strong links to the navy make this screening even more relevant for our charity and those we help.'
Seafarers UK carries out welfare projects, helping those who are just embarking on a career at sea and those who face unemployment or illness.
Hampshire Autistic Society has also pulled off a coup by securing a screening of the film at The Apollo Cinema, Fareham, on the same night at 7.30pm.
The society's head of community fund-raising Gemma Harvey said £16 tickets for the premiere were selling fast.
Gemma added: 'Those who are lucky enough to get a ticket will be able to attend a drinks reception at the Chicago Rock Cafe next door to the cinema before the film.
'There'll be free popcorn and soft drinks for them during the film.'
