Nothing like a dame for a real meal

It's not every day you have an ugly sister knocking on your door.
But that was the sight that greeted 73-year-old ex-marine Derek Crowter, from Southsea, as he received his meals on wheels dinner.
A number of special guests have replaced the normal delivery drivers to celebrate Meals on Wheels week in Portsmouth which is run completely by volunteers.
Firefighters also delivered a meal to one lucky senior citizen.
Panto dame Michael Fordred, who will play Daisy in Cinderella at the Kings Theatre, Southsea, said: 'People rely on this. Without it they would not get a hot meal.'
