Police will visit hundreds of homes and businesses offering to mark people's possessions with SmartWater.
Visible only under ultra- iolet light, it is used to highlight stolen property, from jewellery to computers.

This week officers will be visiting more than 260 homes and businesses in the Hayling Avenue area of Baffins.
Residents will be offered SmartWater stickers for their windows – sending out a clear message for burglars to steer clear.
The scheme is one of dozens of activities taking place across Portsmouth and Hampshire this week as part of Not In My Neighbourhood Week.
Police say they want to make residents feel safer and be able to put a face to the name of their local bobby.
Dozens of events and activities will be taking place across the county, including truancy sweeps and home security checks.
Chief Inspector Tim Ashman, who heads up Hampshire Constabulary's Safer Neighbourhoods, said: 'This throws the work of our Safer Neighbourhood teams, the other units around the force who support them and our partners into the spotlight.
'We need communities to get involved with their local officers and tell us what's important, and what's going on in their street, so that we can work together to keep neighbourhoods safe.'
