The party starts here - Portsmouth have won the FA Cup.
Calm finishing by striker Kanu in the 37th minute was all that split Pompey and Cardiff during 90 tense minutes.

And as the final whistle was blown fans across the city - included an estimated 70,000 people watching the big screen at Southsea - cheered in celebration.

And their voices echoed those of the 25,000 Pompey fans at Wembley, where there were scenes of incredible jubilation.

Manager Harry Redknapp said: 'It's fantastic - for everybody, my family especially, the fans, the players, it's great.

'It has been a difficult year and to come here and win the FA Cup is a dream come true for me.'

Keeper David James paid tribute to Harry, saying: 'He's a legend now. He has led the club to its first cup final win in 69 years.'

His comments were echoed by captain Sol Campbell, who said: 'It's fantastic for the gaffer. He has brought this team together.'

He added: 'It's been a brilliant day. We have worked hard and we have had our luck through the rounds, but in the end we got the result.'
