A pile-up involving five cars and a motorbike caused traffic chaos in the Portsmouth area yesterday as people making their way home from work were caught in long tailbacks across the city.
The accident on the M275 happened around 4.30pm.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and closed two lanes of the northbound carriageway.

One motorist was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital but the injuries were not thought to be serious.

Just before 5pm police opened one lane of the motorway and the carriageway was fully reopened after 6pm.
