Local artists could have the chance to showcase their work at a new three-day Festival of Arts at the Pyramids Centre on Southsea seafront next month.
The event is being organised by Portsmouth Expo, a group of local artists.

The exhibition marks the end of a successful quest by Portsmouth Expo to find a suitable indoor venue to display a range of art.

Councillor Terry Hall, in charge of culture and leisure at the council, said: 'The Festival of Arts promises to be a great opportunity for local artists and performers to exhibit their work, showing off Portsmouth's fantastic local talent.'

The Festival will run from September 19 to 21. Admission to the festival will be free and artists will pay £15 to exhibit for three days.

Artists interested in taking part should contact Peter Sopp from Portsmouth Expo on 07909 557868.
