They came, they saw, and they dazzled.
Once again the star pupils from Havant's six secondary schools turned on the glitz for their annual show, More Music Madness.
It is now the third year Havant Rotary Club has put on the event giving the next generation of actors, singers, dancers and musicians the chance to shine.

Hundreds of pupils from Purbrook Park, Park Community School, Hayling College, Cowplain Comm
unity School, Warblington School and Staunton Community Sports College took part in the show at the Kings Theatre, Southsea.

The theatre was packed out with 600 proud parents and grandparents eager to see the youngsters on stage.

Shirley Varnish, who helped organise the event, said: 'Some of the performances were truly fabulous and it was such a pleasure to see so many youngsters excelling on stage.'

The show started with Jay Jupe from Park Community School singing Luck be a Lady Tonight and included extracts from Jekyll and Hyde and covers of You've Got a Friend and Man in the Mirror.

Nicola Jones, 32, of Baddesley Gardens, Havant, whose 12-year-old daughter Jadene was part of the Park Community School group that performed extracts from Mandi, said: 'It was brilliant.

'I was really impressed with the standard.'

Vanessa Meyer, a teacher from Warblington School, Havant, was proud to see the school band belt out the music.

'It's such a fantastic experience for the kids,' she said.

'The opportunity to perform in a big theatre like this doesn't come along very often.

'The children will remember it for the rest of their lives.'
