Budding sports stars will show off their skills to Premiership footballers.
Young people are set to compete in the third annual OKI Street Sixes Youth Festival at Wellington Sports Ground, Eastleigh – Portsmouth FC's training ground – on June 1.

Pompey's Jermain Defoe was recently appointed ambassador to the league, as su
ccessor to club captain Sol Campbell.

The striker will see the event kick off with a six-a-side football tournament for seven to 17-year-olds, with cups, medals and special prizes to be won by those taking part.

As part of the day, plans are also under way for another tribute match, following the success of last year's game between Portsmouth and Southampton Legends, in memory of the late Alan Ball.

The event is once again sponsored by OKI Printing Solutions, in association with Hampshire Constabulary and Portsmouth FC.

Chf Supt Peter Goodall, who is in charge of Hampshire Constabulary's Central Operational Command Unit, said: 'Street Sixes has been a real success story and this year's festival is set to be the best yet. From small beginnings on the streets of Gosport it has grown dramatically and today involves an ever-growing number of young people and their parents.'
