A CHARITY has received a £1,000 boost thanks to Asda and listeners of a radio station.

Breeze FM listeners were given the chance to vote, throughout February, for one of five different charities to receive the supermarket’s cash.

The winning charity with the most votes was Kids, a charity that works with disabled children and young adults, up to the age of 25, and supports them and their families.

Two of Kids’ members went to Asda, Newgate Lane in Fareham, to be presented with the money.

Kids fundraiser, Kitty McMonagle, thanked both Asda Fareham and Portsmouth, which provided the cash.
