MOTHER’S Day is extra special for Wendy Green – because she’s the winner of our fantastic competition prize of a designer She Who Dares clutch bag worth £895, plus a 50ml bottle of She Who Dares perfume worth £45.
We asked you to draw, paint or sketch a picture of your lovely mum and tell us why she’s so special.
Wendy’s daughter Jemma, 15, came up with a Superwoman design that was picked out by our judges.
Wendy, 40, of Wode Close, Clanfield, said: ‘I’m really pleased.’
Along with her drawing of Wendy, Jemma wrote: ‘My mum is special because she does most of the cooking and cleaning. She is also very funny and makes me and my sister laugh.
‘I think she must be Superwoman in disguise because she is always whizzing round doing things and saving us from starvation.
‘It would be nice to win the bag for her because she really deserves it.’
She added; ‘I hope my mum likes my drawing. I love her lots and lots and lots.’
Wendy’s fantastic prize of a black and gold clutch bag is hand-made with approximately 6,000 Swarovski elements and comes complete with a stylish gift box.
When Jemma found out her mum was the winner, she said: ‘Mum does so much for us that she deserves a present. She doesn’t go out much, but we’ll have to get her to go somewhere nice now.’
Jemma, who has a 10-year-old sister called Amy, is in Year 11 at The Petersfield School and wants to be a graphic designer.
Proud mum Wendy said: ‘She’s pretty talented.’
She Who Dares is a brand created by entrepreneur Rachel Lowe to celebrate women. Rachel designed the successful Destination board games and has won many awards, including an MBE for encouraging enterprise in schools, colleges and universities.
In 2010 she teamed up with investor Simon Dolan to develop the She Who Dares brand encompassing a fragrance, jewellery and handbags.
She is proud to be British and has had her fragrance made in the UK, despite it costing more to bring the product to market that way.
