THE Rimmer family braved the muddy conditions and embraced nature as they enjoyed a stroll in Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

Matthew Rimmer, his wife Fiona, and their sons Freddie, six, Finlay, four, and Fraser, three, wrapped up warm for the New Year’s Day walk.

The family moved to Thorney Island, West Sussex in August and make the trip to the country park twice a month.

Mrs Rimmer stressed the importance of being an active family.

She said: ‘The children like being out in the forest.

‘We are a very outdoor family and it’s very important to be active.

‘We were all wrapped up warm for the day – we have got all the kit!

‘The park has playgrounds for Freddie and activities for Finlay and Fraser.’
