CHILDREN had a magical day as they helped raise some money for Children in Need thanks to the visit of a local magician.

Adam the Magic Music Man visited Padnell Infant School in Cowplain to put on a free show.

Children then made a donation to Children in Need.

Adam Freemantle also visited Meon Infant School in Southsea to put on a show for the whole school there too.

He said: ‘Every year I watch Children in Need. I have got two young children. It pulls on your heartstrings, especially as a parent.

‘I wanted to give something. I thought this would be a nice alternative to a non-school uniform day.

‘The atmosphere was phenomenal. The kids were so loud, they loved it.

‘I was pleased. I want to make it bigger and better next year.’
