BUILDING work caused a false alarm for the fire service.

Work was being carried out in The Ridings, Hilsea, when dust set off an alarm.

The incident happened at around 2.15pm on Friday.

One crew from Cosham attended.

Later on Fareham fire station were called to the Fareham Leisure Centre, to an accidental activation.

The call came in at around 9pm.
