WAYS to keep warm this winter will be the hot topic at a drop-in session this Friday.

Portsmouth City Council, the Citizens Advice Bureau and Advice Portsmouth will be out and about at the Asda store in the Bridge Centre, Fratton, between 10am and 2pm to spread the message about ways they can help people stay warm this winter.

Whether it’s insulation, heating, double glazing, or a loan or grant to help pay the heating bill, they can answer questions and provide information.

Lisa Mundy, senior manager from the independence and wellbeing team in adult social care said: ‘During these tough times we are all feeling the pinch financially, and this is an opportunity for Portsmouth residents to find out about the help available to keep them warm and healthy this winter. There are lots of options to reducing the heat loss from your home which can in turn help you to reduce your energy bills.

‘Come along and let the city council help keep you and your loved ones cosy this winter.’
