The Age UK shop in Arundel Street is calling on the people of Portsmouth to support its nationwide stock appeal, The Big Bag Challenge.

Whether it’s last season’s festival wear, a leftover summer read or toys the children have outgrown, the Age UK shop is encouraging everyone to donate a bag full of unwanted items to raise funds for the charity’s work supporting older people.

All types of quality goods are accepted, including clothing, shoes, books, accessories and homeware and every bag donated will help raise funds for the charity.

This will be the first year the Arundel Street shop has taken part in the challenge as it only opened in the city centre in May.

Past items donated nationwide have been snapped up by savvy shoppers, helping to raise funds to help the charity carry out work to improve the lives of older people.
