A CHARITY is holding sessions for elderly people to learn basic IT skills.

Age UK is this week promoting its ITea & Biscuits Week, which aims to encourage older people to discover the benefits that computers, tablets and smart phones can offer them.

The focus of the events at Age UK Portsmouth will be on how to set up e-mail addresses and send and receive e-mails and attachments.

Dan Rubin from Age UK said: ‘People can have a go on one of our PCs and laptops if they haven’t got one, or find out about our daily classes.

‘There will be myself and some volunteers, trying to answer any question.’

The sessions are being held on September 18, from 10am to midday and 1pm to 3pm, at the Bradbury Centre, Kingston Road, Portsmouth, and 175 Allaway Avenue, Paulsgrove.
