A 70-YEAR-OLD MAN has been taken to hospital with a potentially life-threatening condition.

Two ambulances and a helicopter were sent to Gunwharf Road, Old Portsmouth, at about 11.55am today to help the pensioner.

He was taken in on land to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, for treatment.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said: ‘We got a call to a 70-year-old male suffering from a medical episode.

‘Two double manned ambulances and The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance attended.

‘We conveyed the patient by land to Queen Alexandra Hospital.’
