VOLUNTEERS took to Waterlooville’s shopping precinct to raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
The group set up a stand in the shopping area for three weeks in the run-up to Christmas and relied on generous shoppers to dig deep.
Fundraiser Jon McGuigan said: ‘It has been really good and we are grateful to people for being generous and donating to us as they walk past.’
It costs around £125,000 a month to keep the air ambulance flying.
The service relies on support from volunteers and donations to keep going.
